The daily schedule provides the classroom with structure and predictability. Having an established routine ensures that the day flows smoothly, and the children have activities that meet their specific needs. The schedule seeks to provide a balance between small group and large group activities and between noisy and quiet activities. Each schedule allows time for center activities, outside time, rest time, and time for routine care based on the needs of each specific age group.
Infant Schedule:
In our infant & toddler rooms, caregivers respond to children based on their individual schedule, not ours. Infants are allowed to eat, and sleep based on their needs. All children’s diapers are checked every hour and are changed as needed.
The schedule listed below is a general guideline for all classrooms ages 18 months – school age
- 5:45-8:00 – Arrivals / learning centers
- 8:00-8:30 – Outside discovery
- 8:30-9:00 – Breakfast
- 9:00-9:30 – Group meeting & Learning Centers
- 9:30-10:15 – Small Group Activities
- 10:15- 11:30 Outside Discovery
- 11:30-12:15 – Lunch
- 12:15-2:15 – Nap rest time
- 2:15-2:30 – Wake up
- 2:30-3:00 – Snack
- 3:00-3:30 – Group meeting & Learning Centers
- 3:30-4:30 – Outside Discovery
- 4:30-5:30 – Learning Centers
- 5:30-6:00 – Late snack
Food Service
KLA will provide 4 meals/day: 8:30 AM Breakfast, 11:30 AM Lunch, 2:30 PM snack, and 5:30 PM snack at no additional cost for Toddlers and up. Each meal on the menu follows all state licensing guidelines.
